Zines
from the 1990's
(and beyond)

It may sound stupid, but I'm putting up this page for a very simple reason. As I type this in December of 2002, I have been attempting to locate old penpals who I exchanged zines with some ten years ago.
(for a possible new zine project)
Have you any idea how hard it is to locate someone you haven't written to in ten years, who you only know by a strange pseudonym and who published a zine that only you and 49 other people read? Okay, that's not fair, I'm sure that some of these zines saw a higher press run at times, but still...
At any rate, I started to look for people by typing in their "name" and the name of their zine. Maybe if I was lucky I even still had an issue and could find other keywords to attempt a search with. Well, it comes as no big surprise that there is no mention of any of these zines, from ten years ago, on the internet.
So...
I thought I should put up a simple web-page with the names of the zines that both myself and my friends worked on, in the event that anyone is looking to get back in touch with me or my fellow collaborators.

So, below, you'll find a list of these zines, for the sole reason of being picked up by an internet search engine.

If you've found this page and were also involved in zines from this era and would like your zines to be listed along with contact information (or without, I guess), please don't hesitate to contact me.
Or, if you are friends with someone or if you know someone who put out zines in the 1990's, please urge them to contact me. I'd be interested in locating a guy named Dave (?) who put out a zine of mostly reviews, called EAR OF CORN. I think it was out of Ohio (?), but for some reason there's no address on the only issue I can find. I'd like to find Jen who put out GOBBLEBOX, as well as Jen Davison from Washington (both Yakima and Olympia) who put out a zine called TEASE. Also, the person who put out DEEPSIX SUPERSTITION.
Most of these zines are from the early or mid 1990's.
