Roy had a great trip on Lake Fairfield Tuesday night. Attaboy Rock! Here's his report:

There I was just a mindin my own business whilest sittin out on Lake Fairfield, werent doin nuthin but watchin the sun set and the moon rise, was right purty it was when wham blam my pole starts to jumpin and a whumpin and I says to myself, self this might be right inerestin. So's I pick up the pole and the fight was on. When I got the fish in it was a real purty channel cat about 5 pounds.

Things kinda calmed down again when alls a sudden like the next pole starts to whippin and whoppin and I thinks to myself I a little tuckered from the last fish I caught so I hands it to my fishin buddy David and he fights and works and a fors you node it he done got hisself a 9 pound redfish. Well I'm here to tell ya that if the night had finished like that I'd a been as pleased a speckled pup with a new rawhide to chew on but all of a sudden like another of my poles starts to poppin and a crackin a creaking and a moanin and I had another big ole fish. Well thisun de-cided that he werent comin friendly a-tall, he went and pulled so hard that he strips the gears in that ole reel of mine and I had to start pullin that fish in hand over fist to get him clost enough to net up. Then he were too big for the net so we just had to kinda roll him over the side into the boat, but y'all all agree from the pictures that he were worth the bother.

Well I'm mighty tuckered from all the fishin I done tonight so I a gonna go wash the fish smell off'n my hands and call it a night. Yall come go a fishin with me sometime and I'll let you right the next tale of fishin fun.
